During the May Day holiday, Kangxian county in Longnan, Gansu province, has attracted many visitors to enjoy its beautiful natural scenery — lofty mountains, luxuriant forests, deep valleys and unique gardens of tea and bamboo.
Tourists came in groups or drove their own cars, mainly from the nearby Lanzhou city and neighboring regions, including Shaanxi, Sichuan and Qinghai provinces.
The picturesque villages and major scenic spots in the county received a total of 326,000 visitors, who generated revenues of 143 million yuan ($20 million), a record high.
